We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Iowa City Church a great one!

What Can I Expect?

Take your next step in faith and find your place in a community where you can grow, connect, and serve.

Worship & Music

Our 60-minute service opens with meaningful music led by our worship band. With lyrics projected on the screen, you’re invited to sing along or engage in worship in whatever way feels most comfortable to you.

Sermon & Response

We share a relevant, Bible-based message and offer simple next steps for following Jesus, along with time to respond through worship and prayer—at whatever pace feels right for you.

Communion

Each Sunday we celebrate Communion, remembering the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who believe in Jesus are invited to participate by receiving the bread and grape juice. If you’re not there yet, you’re welcome to observe—there’s no pressure, just space to reflect and consider what Jesus has done.

Closing & Offering

Toward the end of the service, we’ll share a few upcoming activities and mention our time of giving. Giving is primarily for members and regular attenders, and as a guest, there’s absolutely no pressure or expectation for you to give.

Kids have a blast at Kid City! We prioritize fun and safety with a detailed check-in process. Programs are available for infants through 4th grade during the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
