A Christian Pilgrimage to Israel

Day 1- Nov 2   Departure from the USA

Day 2- Nov 3   Arrival in Israel,  transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv

Day 3- Nov 4   Visit Old Jaffa, Caesarea Maritima, Mount Carmel, Megiddo (Armageddon), The Sea of Galilee.   Overnight  Nof Ginnosar

Day 4- Nov 5  Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee, The 2000 year old Fisherman Boat Museum,  Mount Beatitude, the site of the feeding of the multitudes  (Tabgha), Peter's Primacy, Capernaum, the 2000 year old Synagogue found at Magdala, the town of Mary of Magdala.  Jordan River Baptismal site (renewal of your Baptismal vows with the Pastor).    Overnight at the Sea of Galilee.

Day 5- Nov 6  Visit Cana, the site of converting water to wine.  Visit Nazareth Village, Gideon Spring, Biet Shean.    Overnight at Dead Sea Resort Hotel

Day 6- Nov 7  Visit Masada, short hike at the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.  Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found, visit Wadi Kelt, the valley of the shadow of death.  Drive by the Inn of the Good Samaritan,  arrive Jerusalem.  Overnight Jerusalem (5 nights)

Day 7- Nov 8  Mount of Olives, walk in the footsteps of Jesus along the Palm Sunday road.  Dominus Plevit, Garden of Gethsemane, Lions Gate, Pool of Bethesda, the Antonia fortress and Lithostratus, Via Dolorosa, The Holy Sepulcher, Bethlehem, the site of the Nativity and the Shepherds field.

Day 8- Nov 9  Visit Mount Herod (Herodion) where recently the royal tomb of King Herod the Great was revealed. Garden Tomb visit and communion, Mount Zion, the upper room, the tomb of King David, the palace of Caiaphas the high Priest, where Jesus was in custody.

Day 9-  Nov 10  Yad Vashem the memorial and Museum of WW2 Nazi holocaust, Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book (Dead Sea Scrolls) and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was in the time of Jesus,  the Jewish Quarter-the Cardo,  Broad Wall, the Temple Mount View Point, the Western Wall and Western Wall tunnels.

Day 10- Nov 11  Biblical Archeology in Jerusalem, hands on activity at the "Sifting of the Temple Mount" project, the City of David, Pool of Siloam, Davidson visitors center and the Southern Wall excavations including the "teaching steps", Jaffa Gate area. Free time for shopping at the Mamila open air Mall and the Old City market.

Day 11- Nov 12  It's time to return to the USA. Transfer to the airport.
