Join Us This Thursday

Come as you are. Celebrate Recovery is completely free; no registration is required, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the doors.

What Is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry for anyone seeking healing and freedom from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

Built on the truth of God’s Word, the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes, and a Christ-centered 12-step process, Celebrate Recovery helps us face the things that keep us stuck and allow Jesus to bring healing into every area of our lives.

Recovery is about more than getting sober or stopping a behavior. It’s about transformation. We believe Jesus still heals broken hearts, restores lives, breaks chains, and gives us the power to walk in freedom.

You don’t have to have it all together to begin. You just have to be willing to take the next step.

A Safe & Confidential Place

We understand that walking through the doors for the first time can take courage. That’s why safety, confidentiality, and trust are at the heart of Celebrate Recovery.

What is shared at Celebrate Recovery stays at Celebrate Recovery.

You will never be forced to share, and you can participate at your own pace. We respect each person’s story and protect the confidentiality of those who come through our doors.

This is a place where you can take off the mask, be real about what you’re walking through, and know you’re not walking through it alone.

Real people. Real struggles. Real hope. And a safe place to find freedom through Jesus Christ.

Recovery Is for All of Us

Recovery Is for All of Us

Celebrate Recovery is about more than drugs and alcohol. It’s for anyone dealing with hurts, habits, and hang-ups—things like anxiety, anger, grief, shame, codependency, trauma, pornography, food struggles, relationship issues, addiction, and more.

Come As You Are!

You don’t have to clean yourself up before you come. You don’t have to be a member of Iowa City Church, have your life figured out, or even know what your next step is.

Maybe you’re carrying addiction, anger, anxiety, grief, shame, broken relationships, or something nobody else knows about. Whatever your hurt, habit, or hang-up is, you don’t have to keep walking through it alone.

Just come Thursday. Come as you are.

There’s no judgment, no pressure to share, and no expectation that you have it all together. We believe Jesus still heals, restores, breaks chains, and brings freedom—and sometimes that journey starts with simply having the courage to walk through the door.

No matter what your hurt, habit, or hang-up is, there is hope—and His name is Jesus.
